Radiant Systems Named 2010 New Technologies and Solutions Finalist by Network Products Guide

Aloha Command Center stands out to leading technology research and advisory publication as an innovative and highly-secure site system management tool for the restaurant industry

ATLANTA (March 2, 2010) — Radiant Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: RADS) today announced that Aloha Command Center has been recognized as one of the most advanced restaurant technology tools available for its ability to help easily support and manage site security settings across all locations in a tightly secure environment and process framework. This recognition resulted in its advancement as a finalist in Network Products Guide’s 2010 New Technologies and Solutions awards, which honor new or well-entrenched technologies that exhibit latest enhancements and promising applications for users of networking and communications products.

Radiant Systems began the deployment of Aloha Command Center more than two years ago as a tool to help restaurant operators manage their site systems in a highly secure manner. As an above-store management application within Radiant’s Aloha Enterprise solution, Aloha Command Center increases issue resolution speed in restaurants, allowing operators to spend more time on guest satisfaction and profitable operations and less time on solving technical problems that may occur. The application enforces strict security measures such as requiring unique multi-factor authentication for users and only utilizing outbound connections for site access rather than open in-bound connections. In addition, the application offers real-time monitoring of site security settings, alerting support personnel if security-compromising changes are made or occur at the restaurant. Aloha Command Center is currently deployed in more than 30,000 global locations.

Technology companies of all sizes, from well established worldwide leaders to small local start-ups, were nominated for Network Products Guide’s Hot Companies and New Technology awards. Radiant Systems has advanced to the finalist stage now based on the list compiled by Network Products Guide. The 2010 Hot Companies and New Technology winners will be announced and honored at the Technosium 2010 Presentations and Dinner in San Francisco, Calif. on March 18, 2010.

“Radiant released Aloha Command Center more than two years ago with enhanced security in mind. We designed it to be a tool that restaurant operators can use to support and maintain their sites safely given the constantly changing PCI DSS requirements they must follow,” said Jimmy Fortuna, vice president of product development for the hospitality division at Radiant Systems. “Given our success with extending our restaurant technology solution to include a security-focused management tool, we are actively engaged in extending similar applications across all the industries we serve.”
