Chick-fil-A® Reaffirms Commitment to Radiant Systems’ Technology

Restaurant company invests in point-of-sale to improve the customer and operator experience

ATLANTA (February 21, 2007)—Radiant Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: RADS), a leading provider of technology to the retail and hospitality industries, announces an agreement with Chick-fil-A® to implement its Radiant Point-of-Sale (POS) software in the restaurant company’s entire chain. Chick-fil-A will use the Radiant POS platform to improve restaurant efficiency, streamline menu maintenance and ensure system maintainability in pursuit of its corporate strategies of operational excellence and outstanding customer service.

The agreement builds on a ten-year relationship between the two Atlanta-based companies that has resulted in more than 1,000 Chick-fil-A sites installed with a prior generation of Radiant software today. After a thorough evaluation of other POS systems, Radiant’s software was once again selected as the approved solution. Key to the Radiant POS platform, the above-store web-based POS management application will allow Chick-fil-A to rapidly deploy strategic product introductions across the chain and cost effectively administer regional variations for all Radiant POS systems from a central location. With the Radiant solution, Chick-fil-A will benefit from a uniform software platform that will enable the company to give its franchised operators value-added innovations beyond standard quick-service capabilities.

In addition to naming Radiant POS software for broad distribution, Chick-fil-A selected the Radiant P1220 POS terminal and Radiant’s hardware field maintenance program as an approved hardware solution. The P1220 POS will offer Chick-fil-A restaurant operators a powerful, compact, reliable, easy-to-use and easy-to-maintain POS terminal that combines a leading edge set of base features with expansion capabilities to meet future needs. This unique combination of features provides valuable long-term benefits based on a foundation of excellent speed-of-service and unrivaled uptime.

“Radiant is a company whose focus on customer service and product integrity has given them the expertise to successfully support large restaurant operators,” said Jon Bridges, chief information officer at Chick-fil-A. “Sourcing a total POS solution and support from a single provider allows us to create a critical information link among customers, restaurants and corporate. We look forward to implementing the next-generation Radiant POS as part of our technology vision.”

“Chick-fil-A’s recommitment to Radiant technology exemplifies the power of this solution in helping restaurant operators enhance their service capabilities and grow their businesses,” said John Heyman, CEO of Radiant Systems. “Their dedication to employee satisfaction, customer service and excellence sets them apart in the quick-service industry, and we look forward to strengthening our partnership with them.”
