Course Information

The 2010 Sprint for Cancer 5k race course is situated on the West side of Lake Carolyn in Las Colinas.  The course heads up Las Colinas Blvd through ‘downtown’ Las Colinas, makes a swing by the famous Mustang Fountain and also passes by the new Irving Center at Las Colinas before making the final turn back down Las Colinas Blvd. toward the finish line.

The Family Fun Run/Walk course heads up Las Colinas Blvd. from the same starting point as the 5k and makes its turn in front of the Mandalay hotel back to the finish line.

Race start time for the Family Fun Run/Walk is at 8 a.m and the 5k will start at 8:30 a.m.  Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to race time to allow time for parking and race registration.

Memorial T-Shirt Pricing

If you would like to donate or race on behalf of someone else, you can have their name included in the memorial name list on the race T-shirts for an additional $15.00 fee. You can select to donate “in honor of,” “in memory of,” or “in support of” when you register for the race. Your entry form must be received on or before March 15, 2010 to have the name printed on the shirt.

Chip Timing

The 5k race will use ChronoTrack™ Chip timing system. The electronic timing chip is disposable and does not have to be returned following the race.

Parking

Free parking is provided in the Waterway Tower Garage at 433 Las Colinas Blvd E, Irving, TX 75039.  Please note that on race day only the South entrance of the garage will be open; the entrance is located at the intersection of Las Colinas Blvd. and Brazos Dr.

Finish Times

Preliminary results will be posted as racers finish. Final results will be posted after all racers have finished. Final results will also be posted on the website following the race.

Technical T-Shirts

All participants will receive a Radiant Systems Sprint for Cancer technical, moisture-wicking race T-shirt. Shirts are guaranteed to all pre-registered entrants and must be picked up before or after the race on Saturday.

Awards

Awards for the race will be presented at the post-race ceremony.
